Flowers and nature play important roles in my life. As much as I love the city, I need the country. I started to use flowers as they represent the fruit of growth. The seeds that can be sown come from within to spread beauty and well-being. We can all bloom and release through expression. Being able to release often heals and makes space for new things to begin.
Many of my paintings are emotional expressions of what is going on inside me. Some are more complicated and this is shown through the different paintings. Each flower is a world of it's own. Each painting a journey inwards.
Watercolors are the medium that have given me that freedom and lightness that I connect with when I detach from the physical world and go inwards. That dreamy feeling where a lot is blurry and only specifics stand out, some kind of symbolism that brings attention to certain aspects or particular objects.
Subconscious communications to the outer world through art.
We all have a chance to bloom and appreciating, creating and expressing helps us all heal and gives us an opportunity to take a moment and realize that we are all flowers with some kind of beauty to offer in our own way growing towards and attracted to light, continuing a cycle of rebirth.
Participating in community projects to help those in need makes me recognize and reminds me that everyone, no matter what age, can bloom through expression whether it be through a painting or a smile and they, we, all deserve to be cared for in the garden of the human family.
Thank You Santropol Roulant, for helping to take care of others and giving my community a chance to feel like a famliy.
I hope that my participation helps you out to continue and to improve anything you are hoping for. Every person you help is a flower on my street and you are the gardeners of humanity.
